What are the current fees?
Individual therapy / initial session (50 minutes): $190

Cognitive assessment: $1,000 (includes testing, scoring, feedback session and a written report including recommendations)

ADHD assessment: $1,500 (includes questionnaires, consultation, feedback session and a comprehensive report including recommendations)

For individual therapy, fees are payable at the time of your appointment or within 7 days.

What are your current wait times?
Lauren and Jordan each have a wait time of approximately 6 months.

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
No referral is needed for therapy or assessments.
A referral is only required if you'd like to claim a Medicare rebate.
 

What's the best way to reach the team?

Our receptionist works both Tuesdays and Thursdays. Outside of these days Jordan and Lauren always endeavour to get back to emails in a timely manner. ​

Please be patient with our response rate, as we often receive a high volume of emails.

Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate for individual therapy sessions. A referral entitles you to up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year, with a GP review after the first six sessions.

 

The current rebate for a session with a registered psychologist is $98.95. We directly process this for you, meaning the rebate is paid into the bank account linked to your Medicare/myGov profile.
 

Are assessments covered by Medicare?
Cognitive and ADHD assessments are generally not covered by Medicare. We'll always talk you through the cost before we begin.

Can I use private health insurance?
Some private health funds offer a rebate for psychology sessions. The amount varies by fund and policy, so it's best to check directly with your insurer - If you'd like to claim privately please let your psychologist or our receptionist know so you can be issued with the correct receipt.
Please note you can't claim from both Medicare and private health for the same session.
 

Can I access therapy if I'm experiencing financial difficulty?
We understand that cost can be a barrier - If you're going through a difficult financial period, your therapist may be able to arrange a fee or payment arrangement to suit your circumstances and capacity. This is considered case by case, we'll always try to help where possible.
 

How long is a session?
Standard sessions run for 50 minutes. Longer sessions are available on request and are priced in line with our current pricing.
 

What should I bring to my first appointment?
Any referral and Mental Health Care Plan (if you have one)
Your Medicare card or details of the card

Any previous reports, school documents or assessments that might be helpful for your psychologist to review.

Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We offer secure video sessions for clients who prefer or need to meet online.

How do I pay?
Payment can be made by EFTPOS or card (card details can be provided directly to our receptionist), or by bank transfer. For telehealth appointments, you'll receive an invoice with our banking details following the session.
 

What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule as this allows us to offer the session time to other clients. Less than 24 hours' notice, or a missed appointment, is charged at the full session fee.
